Keeping track of paint colors used in your home can be a challenge for several reasons. If you don’t remember the color and manufacturer, it can be frustrating when it’s time to freshen up the walls (and want to keep the same color). The biggest challenge, though, is remembering exactly the shade of the wall color when shopping. Here’s a quick and easy way to always have your paint colors with you:
- Using tongue depressors, drill a small hole in the end of several sticks.
- Write the color name and paint manufacturer code on one end of the stick with a permanent marker.
- Next, dip the other side of the stick into the paint matching the color code.
- Once dry, attach to a key ring or other wire.
Now you have the exact paint colors with you whenever you are out shopping!
